Congratulations TheaterReaders!

Your child has worked hard during this year as a Drama Studio TheaterReader. In appreciation of all their good reading, writing and acting, the Drama Studio hopes that they will continue their studies at our theatre, and will fund all needed scholarships.  We hope that you will be able to take advantage of this opportunity, and help your student continue their amazing work.

  • Introductory Classes at the Drama Studio

    • Introduction to Acting 201 (Ages 9-12)

    • Acting Up (Ages 6-9)

  • There are three options of 201 sections to choose from:

    • Mondays: 5:50-7:20 PM

    • Thursdays: 4-5:30 PM

    • Saturdays 1:15-2:45 PM

    Acting Up for 6-8 year-olds has two sections to choose from:

    • Fridays, 4:30-5:15 PM

    • Fridays 5:25-6:10 PM

    Classes meet weekly from September to May. This will be an attendance commitment because at the Drama Studio, each actor is essential. Other actors will depend on your student for scene work and partnering.

  • The Drama Studio, 41 Oakland St, Springfield. (Right next to the Forest Park Library, across the street from the Forest Park Middle School) We are on the G1 and G2 PVTA bus lines.

  • Studying theatre advances reading, builds confidence, creativity, public speaking skills, and leads to better focus. It can build life-long friends and a love of learning. We hope to see you at Drama Studio!
